A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment with proven programs in arts, education and wellness for the young people in South Central Los Angeles to help them improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives.

Danny’s Farm offers a safe and nurturing farm experience and social environment for children and adults with learning differences.
Elizabeth House
Through shelter and lifelong support, Elizabeth House empowers pregnant and parenting women in need to reclaim their lives and build successful family legacies. We do this through three modalities: our residential shelter program, our life-long alumni services program, and our Center for Mother & Child Well-being community-based services.
Friends Indeed
Friends In Deed has five core programs, including a Food Pantry providing 2,500 households over 635,000 pounds of food yearly; The Women’s Room, a day shelter for homeless and at-risk women, offering free services like over 500 laundry loads and almost 600 showers for guests annually; a weather-activated Bad Weather Shelter providing a warm meal and refuge from the cold, wind, and rain in the winter months; a Street Outreach and Housing team working to end homelessness on the streets of Pasadena with about 20 people successfully housed each year; and an Eviction Prevention and Rental Assistance program offering emergency rent, case management, or rental assistance resources to approximately 280 households each year.

The Kern County Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Services aspires to provide superior, culturally sensitive substance abuse services as an integral partner in a comprehensive continuum of care. It is the vision of the Commission that services will be delivered within an environment which promotes the dignity, rights and full participation of individuals and other families.

Founded on the mission of “firefighters helping firefighters,” the Relief offers programs and assistance for firefighters and their families.
Midnight Mission
Founded in 1914, The Midnight Mission offers paths to self-sufficiency individuals and families who have lost direction. Our emergency services and 12-step recovery, family living, job training, education, and workforce development programs offer a compassionate bridge to achieve and maintain healthy, productive lives. We remove obstacles and provide the accountability and structure that people who are experiencing homelessness need to be productive in their communities. Our conviction and commitment to their success define us.
